I just pick up the container and shake it….then let the gas slip out, cork it….let it sit…shake it some more….pop the cork…..repeat. Learned that when I as a kid….. shake it let it go flat, burp it….repeat…no tools needed.. Wow…how is that for a straight explanation.

thanks for the great info………..I am new to home wine making…..I have the second stage, one gallon carboy with grape juice that I held in the first stage platic container with lightly covered plastic lid for one week…..I have had it in the one gallon carboy with a plastic 3 piece air lock on top of it for a few days now…..It was bubbling real strong, and the lock bubbles off and on…..It has settle down, still purple in color, but a little light with tiny bubbles on top..stir still?

If you go to the trouble of making a video at least take the 1 stir stick out of the bag so the viewers have an idea what it looks like.
